Kimberly and Goldar have to work together to escape the War Zord, while Trini and Zack, along with Serge and his sister, work to find a way to prepare the village against Verto’s onslaught.
SYNOPSIS
Kimberly and Goldar, reluctantly, work together to free themselves from the depths of Typhonis by re-routing power to the Firebird Thunderzord so it can detach and fly away. Goldar abandons Kimberly to get revenge on Verto himself but Verto bites him in the arm and falls to his freedom. Trini and Zack attempt to contact Zordon but his energy is drained beyond the point of being able to communicate with him. As Kimberly rejoins the team she reaches out to Zordon to return the energy to him but he refuses – instead turning Serge and his sister Britt in to the Blue and Red Rangers in Kimberly’s new team of Power Rangers. He states she needs all the power he has in order to save the villagers from Verto. Goldar awaits outside and teams up with Kimberly to stop Verto once and for all.
The team goes back to the village with the freed civilians to begin making preparations for Verto’s upcoming attack. He appears with Typhonis and laughs at Goldar, stating he will report to Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd how he’s working with Power Rangers. He approaches with Typhonis…
STAFF REVIEW
Seeing a new team of Power Rangers is fun – especially a female Red Ranger. The callback to Zordon being caught in a timewarp is nice but it doesn’t explain in any way that makes sense how he can give MORE of his power and not be gone forever. The final battle approaches though and if you’ve invested the time thus far it is definitely worth it to see how it pays off.
