Rita’s continued manipulations begin to succeed in turning the Rangers against Zordon.
SYNOPSIS
10,000 years ago Rita Repulsa grows bored of the routine of conquering planets. On the planet Myrgo, two Myrgon parents give Rita their infant son… which turns out to be Squatt.
Sixteen days after “Arrival Day”, Jason tries to ask Trini to the Homecoming Dance but he is too nervous. At the gym, Kimberly and Zack try to figure out who his secret admirer is. Billy deciphers that the note is from Violet Arias, one of their classmates. Bulk and Skull continue to gather signatures so Bulk can become Homecoming King.
That night, Goldar attacks the drive-in that “Matt” and Matt’s family are at. The Rangers, except Billy (who is at the Promethea interview), morph and teleport to the drive-in to fight Goldar. “Matt” tells the Putties to help Goldar. When they leave, Zack notices and asks “Matt” if he is alright.
Billy teleports into the battle after his failed interview and is grabbed by Goldar. Goldar orders them to surrender or he will cut Blue Ranger’s head off. “Matt” rams the Cook family’s mini-van into Goldar, freeing Billy. The Rangers argue about their lack of teamwork and worry about their loved ones being the targets of Rita’s attacks.
“Matt” talks about his heroic moment at the Youth Center and Billy says that maybe they can make Matt an Honorary Power Ranger. Telepathically, the Putty Infiltrator explains to Rita that his actions are to gain the trust of the Power Rangers.
During a home game with the Angel Grove Tigers versus Stone Canyon, Zack tells Trini his suspicions about Matt’s actions. Bulk and Skull get dates for homecoming. After the game, Billy confesses to the team that he thinks he should give up his power to Matt…
