With Rita’s plan throwing chaos into the personal lives of the Power Rangers, Billy faces a difficult choice…

SYNOPSIS

10,000 years ago on Gentrax IV, Rita and Goldar have defeated its inhabitants. Rita accuses Goldar of being a spy for Lord Zedd, which he denies. Rita makes him an offer of loyalty in exchange for the head of Lord Zedd. After all, Lord Zedd killed Goldar’s brother for questioning his authority. Goldar makes a blood oath to serve Rita Repulsa until he dies.

In the present, the Homecoming descends into chaos as students evacuate Angel Grove High School. The Rangers fight Infiltrator Putty, but have a hard time due to its shape shifting abilities. The Putty claims it does not want to fight them and is being forced to by Rita. All they have to do is surrender to her and their planet will be spared. When the Putty refuses to kill, Rita orders Baboo to use a potion to gain control of it.

The Infiltrator Putty grows gigantic as the Power Rangers form the Megazord. Rita uses its abilities to shape shift it into a copy of the Megazord. Zordon tells the Rangers to remember their training and Billy realizes they need to split into the individual Dinozords. With this divide and conquer strategy, the Rangers defeat the Putty Megazord. Kimberly threatens Rita that she will split her in two if she ever comes near a loved one again.

In the Command Center, Zordon praises the Rangers. Jason apologizes to everyone for being so hard on them earlier. At Angel Grove High School, Hailey dumps Bulk for thinking she couldn’t handle Marelau by herself. Trini tells Jason she wasn’t into him (but her eye movements and expressions say otherwise) and he is awkwardly relieved. Billy rejects the Promethea internship and explains the decision to his father, who accepts Billy’s decision and supports him.

Kimberly and Zack visit Matt‘s home, but he refuses to come down from his room. His mother explains how she is trying to support him, but it feels like he isn’t there. Kim blames herself for Matt’s situation.
