For weeks now the rumors have been floating around about a Power Rangers Beast Morphers and Power Rangers Dino Charge team up episode/episodes for the end of the Power Rangers Beast Morphers series. Between the rumors of Austin St. John returning as Jason, the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, and a slew of former Ranger actors from Power Rangers Dino Charge all in Auckland, New Zealand at the same time it seems as if the rumors are more than just speculation and hype.
And now we have on-set images that prove that at least SOMETHING is happening.
Thanks to Ngakupenga Grace on Facebook (shared with permission) we have our first look at four of the Power Rangers Dino Charge engaging in battle with some familiar faces – namely Putties from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Triptoids from Power Rangers Dino Thunder, and Vivix from Power Rangers Dino Charge. Fans of Super Sentai will recall a similar battle featured in the GoBusters vs Kyoryuger summer movie that featured the return of all the dinosaur Super Sentai teams in an epic team-up against some revived foes.
Appearing in the images are as follows:
- Dino Charge Red Ranger
- Brennan Mejia traveled to New Zealand for a convention and stayed well past his time.
- Dino Charge Blue Ranger
- Yoshi Sudarso traveled to New Zealand at the same time as the others
- Dino Charge Black Ranger
- James Davies lives in New Zealand and recently posted images of himself in costume as the Dino Charge Black Ranger. He claims it was for a commercial – but with no Power Rangers Dino Charge product scheduled for release in the next 12 to 18 months (at the time of this writing), we call his bluff.
- Dino Charge Gold Ranger
- Davi Santos was in New Zealand and posted the same image of a sunset as Kristina Ho (Betty on Power Rangers Beast Morphers).
- Putties
- The generic clay bad guys from Season 1 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers make their return in this team-up episode(s).
- Triptoids
- The video game bad guys turned real from Power Rangers Dino Thunder return. Seen in these images are both the white and black versions.
- Vivix
- We have seen behind-the-scenes images of the Vivix from costuming and in a battle scene previously, so seeing them here only adds credence to the speculation.
Power Rangers Beast Morphers is currently on summer hiatus and will return this fall on Nickelodeon. This team up episode(s) is set to air sometime next year. At this time, Hasbro has yet to officially announce the team up or whom is officially involved. While rumored that Austin St. John is reprising his role of Jason the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, we have yet to see any images of Austin St. John in New Zealand at the time of filming.
