Synopsis

Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, is off to his first day of school after breaking free of Rita Repulsa‘s mind control and as a member of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.  But something is off.  No matter what Tommy does he can’t seem to get Rita Repulsa out of his head.  His every interaction is commented on by Rita Repulsa‘s voice causing him to pause and doubt himself.

Staff Review

The essence of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is captured wonderfully here by Kyle Higgins and the artwork by Hendry Praseta is stunning while also being modern.  The Power Rangers are drawn in modern clothing as opposed to throwing it back to the early 1990’s.  While not much happens overall you get the feeling that this issue is setting up what comes next.  This is a great starting point for new readers and for the new series.  On top of that you can get some beautiful covers that look great on a display shelf or on your wall.
