SYNOPSIS

Dealing with the loss of Zordon, Billy, and Alpha-5, on top of the victory of Rita Repulsa and the mysterious Black Dragon, the Power Rangers search for answers on how to regain their powers and stop Rita from conquering Earth.  Tommy deduces that Billy must be in the Dark Dimension and that there is a portal in Rita’s palace, on the moon, that can get him there.  Together, he and Jason take the Dragonzord to space to infiltrate the palace and free Billy.  But the Black Dragon is waiting for them, grows in size, and defeats Jason in the Dragonzord.  As Tommy reaches the portal machine, the Black Dragon captures him as well.

STAFF REVIEW

The Black Dragon is approaching new levels of “unfair”, knowing every detail of the heroes including their weaknesses.  At this stage it looks like the Power Rangers have no hope of winning this battle.  How they eventually win (because, you know, they have to) should be an interesting twist which makes this book fun and entertaining.  Definitely written with the idea of “page-turner” type of drama which is refreshing (as many comics are now written “for the trade”).
