The Rangers discover just how far their new allies are willing to go against Rita.

SYNOPSIS

As the Power Rangers defeat the monster in New York, an energy reading in Vancouver causes Promethea to act.  There is a large reading in the area and they are unable to pinpoint exactly where the human that will turn in to a monster is located.  Because of this they have detained everyone in a multiple block radius and are clearing them one by one.  Jason is visibly upset at this – people are being held against their will.  Grace tries to explain it is for their own good but Jason is furious that she would hold innocent people against their will to achieve their goal.

Billy and Trini head back to Promethea to develop a new scanner that could help pinpoint the monster in Vancouver.  Billy and the lab tech Andrea begin to get acquainted to each other and Billy comments on the amount of energy that Promethea uses and states that he is curious why one wing of the building is using a quarter of the entire energy running through Promethea.  Andrea says she doesn’t know everything about Promethea.

Finster is visited by Rita Repulsa, who has returned to the moon palace.  She orders to him return and thus he breaks his glasses, opening a portal, and escapes the pocket dimension.

Billy decides to investigate and finds a room sealed shut with armed guards in front.  He is denied access so he teleports in.  Waiting for him in chains is none other than Lord Drakkon himself.

STAFF REVIEW

THERE IT IS!  The return of Lord Drakkon!  It was Promethea that captured him and has kept him in chains since then.  This is the type of secret that, coupled with Grace’s questionable methods, will turn the Power Rangers against her and Promethea at the drop of a hat.  We cannot wait to see where this goes – which we already know will become the “Shattered Grid” story line thanks to future solicitations.  Anything with Lord Drakkon is quality reading and we cannot wait.
