The Mighty Morphin team splits into two strike forces—one with RPM and one with Time Force—to battle Drakkon across worlds…even as all hope seems lost!
SYNOPSIS
Kim and Jen are flying the Pteradactyl across time and space searching for other Power Rangers. While doing so they manage to share a little bit with each other about time travel and how even if you fix everything it may never be the same again. It is then that they arrive at Terra Venture, home of the Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, in hopes of saving any surviving Power Rangers. They find one – the Pink Ranger – and Jen is shocked to see that it is Karone, the former villain Astronema, meaning that this group of Power Rangers was further in the time line than expected. We learn that a number of other Power Rangers – Megaforce Blue and Yellow, Jungle Fury Purple, Lightspeed Rescue Red, Dino Thunder Yellow, and Dino Charge Purple Rangers have all been rescued already. A radio transmission from Alpha-5 comes across – Jason and Lauren need reinforcements!
The Battle of Corinth is underway as Lord Drakkon’s armies face off against the RPM Rangers and the defenders of Corinth. Dr.K fixes Lauren’s Samuraizer to prevent it being effected by the Black Dragon Canons while Jason continues to try and convince Dr.K to abandon Corinth for the greater good, but she continues to refuse believing that they can defeat Drakkon right here, right now.
Back with the Coinless, Skull has the two Zacks wear Mastadon Sentry outfits to sneak in with him to rescue Ninjor. They successfully reach Ninjor and free him only to be ambushed by Finster-5 and other Ranger Sentries. Our Zack goes to fight as the Ranger Sentries fire their weapons, causing Coinless Zack to push him out of the way and take the blasts. Skull leaps in to battle and orders Zack and Ninjor to leave through the side exit.
Back in the RPM dimension the Power Rangers are beginning to become overwhelmed by Drakkon’s forces. At the right moment, all the Rangers that have been saved leap from the Pteradactyl to join the fight – including unmorphed SPD Rangers. Unfortunately they are immediately hit by Black Dragon Canons and are left powerless. Jason pleads with Dr.K to remove the teleportation dampeners and to help them save reality. She explains that the only way to do that is to lower the city shields of Corinth, thus surrendering the last human city on Earth.
She agrees – and the Power Rangers begin teleporting away to safety as Dr.K looks on as Corinth is invaded and crumbles to Lord Drakkon’s forces.
The remaining Coinless wait for the two Zacks and Skull to come back with Ninjor and are shocked that only young Zack and Ninjor have made it out. Zack, with a look, confirms to Coinless Trini what happened – that Zack and Skull are likely dead. Confidently they state that with Ninjor they can stop him from destroying the Power Rangers. Ninjor corrects them – he isn’t absorbing powers to destroy the Power Rangers, he’s absorbing powers to effectively enter the Morphin Grid to reshape reality itself as a whole.
STAFF REVIEW
This book proves that Power Rangers, when written well and not treating its audience like they’re children, can stand toe to toe with any major comic book property.
